Rudolf G?hler counts among the few violinists who are masters of the modern curved bow. After studying with Prof. Schroeder in Kassel and Prof. Brero in Berlin, he appeared on numerous international stages, both as a soloist with orchestra and in duet with piano or harpsichord. G?hler prefers to perform polyphonic music on the curved bow, especially Bach's works for solo violin. His many recordings and performances on radio and TV demonstrate the diversity of his repertory as well as the richness of timbres and tone colors made possible by both the traditional bow and the curved bow.
