Aled Jones 是威尔士人。自小就是唱诗班的 Choirboy，自幼出唱片，幼时的唱片销量就达到了600万张以上，并且在女王、教皇、查尔斯与黛安娜等王室面前表演过。在他变声后，沉寂了一段，进入皇家音乐学院（Royal Academy of Music）和 Bristol Old Vic Theatre School 学习声乐。进入新世纪后，他再次复出，又不断发了很多古典跨界、当代基督的唱片，同时还是BBC和Classic FM的著名主持人，经常出现和表演在各类音乐节目里，是古典音乐节目Songs of Praise的主持人和主要歌唱家。他与 Mike Oldfield 和 Leonard Bernstein 等著名音乐人合作过，还同新西兰青年女高音Hayley Westenra合作表演过，在英国有很高的知名度。
该专辑是2006年Aled Jones的一张精选集，集中了诸多基督教名曲，包括一些今天的他和少年的他的混音。专辑还包含他和英国著名的古典歌剧男中音Bryn Terfel，新西兰青年女高音Hayley Westenra的合作曲目，亮点不少。
