Drum 'n' bass is just one piece of the Bristol puzzle. Hip hop, roots reggae & dub also find their place on this mix alongside S&Ms own classic, visionary cuts which include recent instrumental of tracks found on their 1995 release 'Bass is Maternal'. All of the tracks are contemporary & all but one are from Bristol (and that track was mixed by Bristol's More Rockers). The final track, recorded specially for this mix - as is the case with every DJ Kicks release, entitled 'DJ Kicks/I Don't Know' featuring the tantalizing vocals of Miss Alice Perera is an R&B/dub grinder beautifully indicative of the Bristol Sound.
