2010 live release from the singer/songwriter and founder of Throwing Muses and 50FootWave. Cats And Mice captures a unique solo performance presented complete and unedited, recorded amid the lush acoustics of San Francisco's fabled Jazz club Yoshi's. The set list draws deep from the well of Appalachian Folk songs and murder ballads that her grandparents taught her, which typically feature in her rare "Shady Circle" appearances at people's homes. Bantering with and even taking requests from the faithful audience, she performs stunning versions of songs from her solo career (from Hips and Makers up to 2010's Crooked), and even a couple of Throwing Muses favorites.
