Like i said in my previews post, here is a compilation from Forgotten Blood, a Portuguese cassette label founded by Bruno Nunes de Sousa (B. Ardo) in 1993 and closed in 1998. It was specialized in experimental music with esoteric and mystical themes. The thematic and lyrical inspirations were often drawn from the religious traditions of pagan Europe; with specific interest focused on ancient Portugal and Callaecia in particular. The musical inspiration arose from traditional Portuguese folk music, dark folk, ritual-ambient and atmospheric music and industrial. The artists involved were intimately related in close friendships, and they often musically collaborated with each other. Together they created a very distinctive aural aesthetic, typically utilizing only acoustic instruments.Although within the 'industrial' genre it really tends more towards the 'organic'.All Forgotten Blood releases were released in strictly limited editions. The cassette packaging exhibited luxurious hand-crafted methods; utilizing organic materials such as leather and wood, and rich textiles like cloth and velvet. HIGLY RECOMMEND
B. Ardo founded a new label in 2007 named Folcastro.
The cassette is enclosed in a handmade cork envelope, and includes a parchment paper. This release was limited to 88 hand-numbered copies. Summer Solstice, 1996.
