Sharp-edged grooves from Israel -- deep funk at the core, but also cut up with a fair bit of turntable work too! The combo are heavy on the horns -- trumpet, tenor, trombone, and baritone sax -- laid out in full funky frenzy over some very driving drum work on the bottom. These grooves would be enough on their own, but they're also augmented by some cuts and scratches from two different DJs -- as well as a bit of added effects that slide in and out of the mix. The main groove's still acoustic funk -- and again, heavy on the horns -- but the extra bits help set this one apart from a lot of other work like this on the market!
