Micah McCoy's "Crying In New York (With Suntan) EP" is the first proper release for Micah McCoy, planned to precede his full length by a few months. The EP is made up of songs that didn't fit stylistically within the context of full length. The EP starts out with "Crying In New York", a surreal track based on loops and drum machines, a sound you won't be hearing again from McCoy anytime soon. The next track "What If The Night?" is a ballad of love in a dangerous world and is a highlight of the disk. The EP is broken up with, "(Analog)", an skeletal instrumental collage complete with flaws and tape hiss. The track doesn't, however, lack in pure Crazy Horse-like energy. The EP continues with "Sigh My Love". This version is played on guitar. Another version which very well could appear on the full length is played on piano. This version replaces haunting reverb with layered vocals and folksy guitar. The EP ends with a live version of "I Won't Let You Down". The studio counterpart will appear on Micah's full length release.
