Digger's classic from 1975. Everything is about this record is so ripe for crate appeal: The band name, album title, and cover combination just puts a smile on your face. It would be a dusty tragedy if there wasn't some shit on here... But of course there is... there's the low-key trainspotter sample, "Gritty Nitty(1)," sampled on the first Cypress Hill album, the powerful title track(2), the feelgood "Toe Jam(3)," my personal favorite "Work Song(4)," the extended synthesizer funk of "Spooky(5)," the vocal track "You've Got To Do Your Best(6)," and funk-45 styled soul sister track "New Orleans(7)." This is seriously one of those funk grails that's quality from beginning to end, and it's 10 tracks deep.
