专辑简介
We are very lucky indeed. For the first time ever, it's the full spooky soundtrack to gore-meister Lucio Fulci's 1977 supernatural horror/thriller Sette Note in Nero (AKA The Psychic, Murder to the Tune of the Seven Black Notes, Seven Notes in Black).
Fulci had previously employed the composing team of Franco Bixio, Fabio Frizzi and Vince Tempera on his westerns I Quattro Dell' Apocalisse (1975) and Sella D'Argento (1978) and he went on to use Fabio Frizzi to compose the music to his horror movies Zombie Flesheaters (1979) (two versions available: here and here), The Gates of Hell (1980), Manhattan Baby (1980) and The Beyond (1981).
You can hear elements of a lot of the subsequent soundtracks that Frizzi composed in the Sette Note in Nero soundtrack.
Back in 1977, only a 45 RPM single from the Sette Note in Nero soundtrack was released that contained the tracks "7 note" and "Tracce sul muro" (tracks 21 and 22 on this CD), while the theme "With you" (track 19) was included on an album of the singer Linda Lee.
For the Sette Note in Nero soundtrack, DigitMovies has had to completely remix every track using stereo multitracks of the original sessions as the mixed master tapes of the complete score did not exist. Good work chaps!
Quentin Tarantino is a big fan of Sette Note in Nero and used track 7 ("7 Note") in his Kill Bill Volume 1 soundtrack. This track also appears on the following compilations: The Horror Films Collection Vol. 1 and History of Soundtrack.
