“Pastorale”这个单词在英文中一般称之为“田园曲”，也有叫做“牧歌”的，相传在古代的意大利，有牧羊人在圣诞节早上吹笛进城的传统，这种乐曲是用笛子演奏的，带有摇篮曲的某些特征，这使得乐曲显得安祥而宁谧。这张名为《Pastorale》的专辑自然也具有上述的特点，笛子换成了木管，音色更显温柔。 （摘自网络）

In this recording, consummate musicians Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel have chosen to express that which is closest to them and their heritage. Many of the pieces are inspired by classic images and tales of the British Isles. The music invites one to a realm of storybooks and castles, chivalry and noble purpose, to English gardens and courtly grace.
Stately, unhurried, and serene, this music is an organic, verdant promenade in which one is given the time to admire and savor each color and fragrance. Guitar and woodwinds celebrate peace, beauty, and excellence.
