Speaking Silence were born in 1993 from an encounter between two Parisian musicians, Carla Picchiantano and Alain Gradiere. The influence of a certain refined British pop, particularly reminiscent of bands like the Cocteau Twins, The Sundays, Cranes or French new wave legend Rise and Fall of a Decade, is evident in Speaking Silence's ethereal and dreamy music. The main element is the crystalline, precious voice of Picchiantano, that Grandiere manages to weave into suggestive musical themes with rich, carefully tended arrangements. The song of the sirens coats itself of its most beautiful assets with an irresistible appeal. Strictly limited to 500 copies!
