Hailing from the great Northwest, Seattle's Carissa's Wierd (weird is spelled wrong on purpose, thank you very much) presents a take of indie folk that contains both tenets of traditional folk music - acoustic string instruments like guitar and violin and open, resonant but lo-fi percussion - with the immediacy and emotionally powerful personally-related content associated with emo-style indie rock.
