Each track on "Vivid" features a unique lyrical and musical exploration, from the pure tranquillity of "Amazonia", through the rich exotic flavor of "Several Independent Films" and "Darya", to the electronic trance grooves of "Tunnel Rat". "Winter" dreams up a nostalgic and serene coldness, where "Reds" conjures up a metaphorical premonition of war and preceding call to arms. A lurid musical personification of burning flames is created in "Fire", which opens the listener's imagination to its strange and contagious qualities. As a package, "Vivid" takes the listener through a kaleidoscopic journey of light and dark, calmness and storm, to faraway places, and to intimate realities.
