Sensation Black is an annual dance event featuring mainly hardcore music where all attendees dress in black. It is held in the Amsterdam Arena stadium in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, every second Saturday of July since 2002. ID&T, the company that organises the event, claims it is the "world's leading dance event" with 40,000 people attending a single show. During the event, DJs produce music, and attendees (typically dressed in black clothing) dance to the music. The venue has elaborate lighting, fireworks and other visual effects. Each year a special theme is chosen and a corresponding story will be told during DJ changeovers. During these changeovers special effects, video and dancers entertaining the people. Also in the middle of the event is the well know megamix a mix of all (hard) dancehits from the current year. This megamix normally lasts for 30 minutes and is accompanied by mind-dazzling light and laser show, fireworks and acts; this is the moment the crowd is waiting for and is definitely a big moment during the night at which the crowd goes crazy. Each year, ID&T sells an album and a single containing that year's anthem for each edition.
