Human Host began in December 2002 in Baltimore. The band's work is a combination of punk, crunk, psychedelia, folklore, and theatre. Led by Mike Apichella, the creative core of Human Host also includes Rick Weaver, Jeff Duncan, and Josh Marchant in addition to a rotating ensemble of diverse musical and non-musical contributors and collaborators. They have released three CDs: a split with the Baltimore band Fridge A on the Baths of Power label in Summer 2003, a collection of eleven tracks titled Invisible Arteries released by MT6 Records in October 2004, and their third full-length Exploding Demon, released on MT6 in February 2006. Over the past three years, the band has promoted it's work through seven different tours of the continental US, which have found the members performing in every major American city and region at a wide variety of venues. In fall 2007 Human Host will embark upon their eighth US tour.
