The EP’s title track is the second single to be taken from Ghost In The Water's debut album Tooth. The track is probably one of Tooth’s most wistfully beautiful cuts, a lilting pop gem in which Nathan and Mandy sing of the end of a relationship over burbling beats, acoustic guitar and shimmering keyboard lines. New mixes of ‘Pushpins and Tape’ and ‘Magic Wand’ by Little Ghost (Nathan from the band) steer the album versions in delicious new directions – the former bathing the original in Ibiza sunshine, while the latter is re-cast as a vampiric funk strut.
Then comes the thunderous Double Dragon remix of ‘The Campfire’, which rides breakneck through a flaming neon city, the wind in its hair. The EP draws to a conclusion with 4TrakZ’s blissful electro dissection of ‘Cardinal Red’, which counterbalances the melancholy of the vocals with funky, lurching bass and a pumping beat. And let’s not forget the synth-guitar solo… Warped genius.
