A decade ago, a group of people led by the venerable Lama Jamyang Tashi Dorje, came together to found what is now the first and foremost Buddhist Monastery in Catalonia, situated in the heart of Barcelona. Sakya Tashi Ling is, in short, a place where many people, Buddhists and non-Buddhists, come in search of a cure for their physical, mental and spiritual ills, and from this emerged the idea of recording an album containing mantras and rituals recited by members of the community. Sakya Tashi Ling is an album of peace and pure energy; a fusion of sacred mantras mixed with the universal language of music. This collection of thirteen of such pieces was recorded in the monastery during ten hours of consecutive chanting, the album has been number one for weeks in Spain , and now certified Platinum. The first single My Spirit Flies To You has also been number one on the i-Tunes chart. The Honorable Dalai Lama has acknowledged the success of the record and has sent word of congratulations to The Lama Jamyang Tashi Dorie and the Sakya Tashi Ling Community.
