Tenor saxophonist Chico Freeman's third recording as a leader has been reissued on this CD. The 24-minute three-part "Moments" (which has been expanded a little for the reissue) and "And All the World Moved" are explorative duets by Freeman and bassist Cecil McBee while the 16-minute "Merger" (the set's highpoint) finds the pair joined by pianist Muhal Richard Abrams (who is in excellent form), drummer Steve McCall and percussionist Tito Sampa.
