Schengen, a long-time collaboration between the Bristol based duo Nick Varney and Ian McKenzie, delight in all things electronic. After numerous releases and remixes for a wide variety of independent labels (Awkward Silence / Monopsone / Roisin / Make Mine Music), ‘Ce Gil’ is the follow-up to the well received 2006 debut album, ‘the Beijing of our career’.
Refusing to be pin-downed to one style, Ce Gil is a kaleidoscope of textures, veering from the delicate, the experimental, touching on pop, and driving on through to dance, but always mining a rich vein of electronic goodness.
