曲目
A nice example of the danish late 18th century flute school. The 3 sonatas by Scheibe, for flute and obbligato harpsichord, are fully galant in style, with a very elegant and tightly developed dialogue between the two instruments, while Raehs' two sonatas, for flute and continuo, are definitely italianate in their preference for brilliancy and virtuosity. it was a surprise to me listen to such good music by almost (Scheibe) or totally (Raehs) neglected authors.
No need to introduce Lars Ulrik Mortensen; while Maria Bania is one of the best baroque flute players I know - a pleasure to listen.
