脱离了上一张专辑的风格，Kanye 的最新专辑808's And Heartbreaks 明显地与上一张专辑风格完全不同，经历了人生的峰点，Kanye 志在打造全新的风格，把视觉与流行融合在hip-hop 中，在单曲Love Lockdown 的发行与多场现场表演过后，Kanye 得到多界传来的声音，有支持的，有批评的，尽管hip-hop 界的多名大牌都批评，Kanye 还是在早几个月前已经打造好了这张类似试验，也类似推广的专辑。
听完一遍，2个很清晰的概念印入脑海，电音与迷幻，除了Kanye 的声音，真的听一遍后很难找到hip-hop 的感觉，也许是我自己太注重于hip-hop 里的说唱，像他本人说的那样，专辑偏重于rnb 风格，没有Kanye 一贯的那种随性的说唱与出色的歌词，变化很大，加上专辑音乐上的电音与之营造的强烈空间感与迷幻感，再搭配上这几个月以来Lil Wayne 与T-Pain 打造出来的电间机械式说唱技巧，真的很难想像出这与hip-hop 与rnb 有关系。
就像当年的Michael Jackson 一样，一个流行天王也是舞池里的高手，Kanye 也想通过他的自己的音乐与视觉上的艺术融合一起，来创造一种新的音乐风格。hip-hop 与rnb 曲风旋律，通过电音营造出来的那种飘渺随意来渲染，也许Kanye 确是创造出一种新风格，但这与他所说的“做大家想要的音乐”就由时间来验证了！
