Into The Rainbow is a tribute to Nick Webb, the co-founder of the adult contemporary, jazz-influenced group Acoustic Alchemy by the group Kymaera. Kymaera was formed by the co-founder of Acoustic Alchemy-Simon James, following his exit from the group. As such, the album is celebration of acoustic guitar music, and features some of the earliest Acoustic Alchemy songs co-written by Nick Webb and Simon Webb. In addition, the album includes new compositions written in the spirit of Acoustic Alchemy. To celebrate the songs of Nick Webb and acoustic guitar music, Simon Ward enlisted Gregg Carmichael, the current leader and longest running member of Acoustic Alchemy, to join Kymaera on the album. In addition to playing on the album, Carmichael joined Ward in co-writing "Desert Rose", the opening track on the album.
