The CD is primarily Country/Rock with a hard, satirical edge. There are a few twists and turns added to give it the "Elvis Stewart" touch. The Bright Side Of Your Moon contains plenty of subtle humor, a bit of double entendre, quality musicianship, and a liberal amount of genuine emotion.
Some unusual recording techniques were utilized in the making of the CD. Geno recorded all of his vocal tracks lying on his back. We're not sure why he did this, but we're sure he'll continue to do the live shows standing up. On the song "I Was Rock 'N' Roll When Country Wasn't Cool", all guitar tracks were played through a battery operated amp with a 3" speaker. He used a $5 toy microphone for the vocals in this song. Somehow, it all comes together. You just have to hear it for yourself.
This is a concept album, written entirely by Geno Stewart. It tells the story of a musician's life from the inside, when the crowd has gone, the equipment's loaded, and he has the road and himself to deal with.
