The third volume of our “Teoría y Práctica Melódica” series is out now – this time it is dedicated to travel and cities. The CD features both artists from the Jabalina roster and a great bunch of guests who provide their own view on the topic. As the liner notes read: “Don’t we all treasure memories of a trip or a city somewhere in our hearts?”. It’s hard to find a more universal source of inspiration, one wich provides so many different possibilities based on our experiences. Furthermore, Inspiration has been sought by songwriters in experience, but also in their own imagination. Of course, the possibilities are endless. This extraordinary CD features both Jabalina artists, most of them giving us a taste of future records to come, and a total of 14 unreleased songs -most of them recorded specifically for the compilation- and 7 awesome songs by artists such as The Lucksmiths (“The chapter in your life entitled San Francisco”), Trembling Blue Stars (“St. Paul's cathedral at night”), Ama (“El perro negro”), Fran?oiz Breut (“Ciudad del mar”, a song which was written for her by Jaime Cristóbal from Souvenir), Polar (“Snow song”), Family (“Viaje a los sue?os polares”) and Humanoid & Piano (“Canción del extranjero siempre”). Among the ureleased tracks recorded for the occasion, you can find songs by Pipas (“Floortime”), Lou Anne (“2nd road”), Apenino (“Sol de Japón”), Nadadora (“Plásticos y metales”), Clovis (“Paseo espacial”), Montevideo (“Hasta Uruguay”), J’aime (the instrumental “Tiergarten”), and Violeta Gomez ("Vacaciones eternas") and gems like unreleased covers by Souvenir and Miqui Puig of classic songs by The Box Tops (“The letter”, “La lettre" for the occasion) and Duncan Dhu (“Una calle de París"). Also, "Bon voyage" means the solo debut of a number of Spanish artists: Roberto Martín (ex Niza) introduces his project Uke. Also, a new band premieres their new project: Carlos Cuevas and José Manuel Mora from the band Mercromina and Modesto from Zipi Zape are Colorado. Similarly, “Bon voyage” means the the first solo venture of Jesús Sáez under the stage name Llum (“The horse on the highway”), parallel to his career with Polar, and including Paco Grande as a producer. And to round things up, we are delighted to have the special contribution of Javier Aramburu for the artwork of “Bon voyage”, and of the “Teoría y Práctica Melódica” series in general. It no doubt provides the most extraordinary wrapping for such a treat.
