Thankfully, Richmond's Throttlerod had a skilled guide when making the transition from quartet to trio. Andrew Schneider, producer of Cave In and The Blue Man Group, has been with the band every step of the way, chronicling every new incarnation with a corresponding release. Nail not only follows in the natural progression Schneider has cultivated, but takes the boys into musically uncharted territory - the album is aggressively abrasive, with more emphasis on the punk & metal that inspired them to start a band in the first place.
