西雅图超级夫妻档组合，Dusty Lee与Treva Dea的这个组合可以被看成是美国DARRKWAVE音乐的首批乐队之一，包括Mistress of Strands、Torn Curtain等都是后来者了，其经典程度可见一斑。他们在90年连续制作了两张黑胶唱片后来都已绝版，93年 Ventricle公司发行的同名CD只收录了前两张里的部分曲目。后来两人分道扬镳，Dusty Lee继续在各个乐队里玩，而Treva放弃了歌唱，不知所踪。。。
　　Superb duo from Seattle. Dusty Lee takes care of electronics and Treva sings (wordless vocals) and whispers ala Gong's 'space whisper'. Together they create Neo-Classical Ambient with spacey synths, effects, hypnotic voice and TONS of mellotron! Very spacey and hypnotic music, sometimes beautiful and sometimes dark (and even more beautiful at that).
　　Mauve Sideshow would appear to be the first incarnation of a linked series of American 'darkwave' outfits, including Mistress of Strands, Torn Curtain, Angel Provocateur, Minus Infinity and Thistle, all of whom are supposed to have used Mellotron at one point or another. It seems they all highlight different aspects of their gothic inclinations, with one being more electronic, one more ambient, one more atonal, etc.
　　Extraordinary trippy US girl combo, sometimes kinda Current 93 meets "space whisper" era Gong, other times a weird space-trip, brain movie, noise & soundscape trip & flip out! There are numerous other Ventricle label interconnected acts to check-out, like: Angel Provocateur, Blessed Oblivion, Minus Infinity, Mistress Of Strands, Thistle, Torn Curtain, etc.
