Outro Rio (another river) is Ricardo Silveira's follow-up to his last solo outing, Noite Clara, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy as Best Instrumental Recording of 2004. Outro Rio highlights not only his amazing skill as a guitarist, but also his talent as an arranger, producer and prolific composer. This is his 7th solo recording as band leader. Over the past fifteen years, Ricardo Silveira has earned a reputation as one of Brazil's most admired and respected international musicians. He began serious guitar study at age sixteen and is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music , where he studied alongside Pat Metheny and Bill Frisell.
