Lakim Shabazz was among the originators of a phenomenon that has become increasingly prevalent in black American society today - the awareness of past cultures and the adoption of the Nation of Islam's ideals as a way of life. Contains a remix of the `80s underground classic "Black Is Back" from Lakim Shabazz's original full-length release Pure Righteousness. Lakim Shabazz was an original member of the 45 King's Flavor Unit alongside Queen Latifah and Apache. Shabazz is also known for his production skills, and lent his talents to Diamond D. & The Psychotic Neurotics' Stunts, Blunts and Hip Hop in the late `90s.
