In the summer of 1998, friends and former lovers Paul Hixon Pittman and Lucy Brain were contemplating starting a band. Over the next year, Young and Sexy began making a name for itself playing local Vancouver venues. After several years and many lineup changes, the band was asked to headline the western portion of the CBC Radio 3 Connect the Dots tour in April-May 2004. The tour was a great opportunity for the new band to find its sound and hone new material for their third album, Panic When You Find It. Recorded in bits and pieces between October 2004 & April 2005, Panic is an eclectic affair but is also their most consistent and unified artistic statement. The band has internalized their wide range of influences, and captured a live feel that was missing on earlier albums.
