Back in the 90s the Sunset Lounge was an up-and-coming cool place for artists, bohemians, the nouveau riche and just friends in San Francisco. The four friends who founded this place came from different ethnic backgrounds (South-American, Asian, and European) and had decided to bring their differences together into one big multi-cultural melting pot. Directly located next to the ocean, the lounge combined club, bar, theatre, restaurant, and hang-out all in one place in perhaps the most tolerant, liberal, and stylish city in the US!
Various musicians from all over the world came here to perform on stage. Electric, acoustic, or instrumental, it was always about matching the atmosphere to easy listening soundtracks. After several years, the founders decided in the spring of 2006 to work on a compilation that included all the best tracks ever played at the lounge and the Chillout Ibiza series was born.
Chillout Ibiza - The Balearic Edition follows in this proud tradition and is sure to stir the senses.
