Pianist Marc Copland first came to public attention with his trio with Gary Peacock and Billy Hart, later with his All-Star Quintet with Randy Brecker, Bob Berg and Dennis Chambers, and still later with his quartet with guitarist John Abercrombie.
John Abercrombie possesses a unique voice as a jazz guitarist, combining evolving technologies with a tradition well represented by jazz standards.
Kenny Wheeler has played with Tubby Hayes, Ronnie Scott, Anthony Braxton and many others. Although he devotes much attention to composition and writes all of the material that he records as a leader, his work as a trumpeter and flugelhorn player is what he considers most important.
