Accompanied by Eamon O’Leary on guitar and mandolin, Natalie Haas on cello, Jerry O’Sullivan on low whistles, and engineer Ben Wisch also on piano, Johnson has said that the title track of the album was inspired by a spiritual meditative garden which aspirants visit to gain insight and to connect with their deeper selves.
