Original soundtrack to the 2010 motion picture. Jean Pierre Jeunet's (the director of Amelie) film, Micmacs, is THE event of French cinema of this year. Raphael Beau, a talented young musician with a promising career ahead of him, composed the score. Additionally, Herv? Schneid (head editor), Edouard Dubois (music artistic advisor) and Jean Pierre Jeunet wonderfully insert Max Steiner's well-known film scores from the 40's and 50's. They shrewdly blend his action film themes with movie images. This results in an absolutely fascinating soundtrack. WCJ.
