Rabbits & Carrots work in a mostly instrumental mode here, a style that has just a slight element of Latin in the rhythms but which is much more influenced by American soul, funk and rock of the late 60s carried off with instrumentation that includes gritty guitars, bubbling organs and stabbing horns all ultra-sharp, and recorded with enough of an edge to cut into a brick!
