This is a live performance recorded on 7 September 2002 in the Staatsoper in Hamburg. It is the flamenco version by Rafael Aguilar's Ballet Teatro Espa?ol of the story of the Carmen of Merimée and of George Bizet's opera. It is a dramatic story that is laden with eroticism, in which the expressionism of modern ballet, flamenco and bolero come together, during the different scenes of the work. The extras include an interview with Carmen Salinas, the director of the ballet, on Rafael Aguilar. Subtitles in English and German.
