BRASILIA is a statement in sound formed by the exploration of frequencies invoking massive architectonic thought, poignant socialist concern, broad concrete highways which span an expanse of grasses and small villages, earthshaking bass guitar, asymmetrically opposed synthesizer, and a pulsing syncopated drum kit - all beautifully toned and hued in analog synchronization. Brasilia hails from Brooklyn, NY. After many limited releases, "A Life Desired" is Brasilia's debut full-length release, on vinyl LP. Three members of Brasilia also do double duty in Mahogany. Recommended for fans of Stereolab, Broadcast, and/or Factory Records. Recorded by the band at their own studio, The Civil Defense. Mixed by Andrew Prinz and Brasilia. Packaging is hand letterpressed at the Unovis Workshop.
