Gérald's harmonica talents have long been recognized on the Canadian folk music scene as among the most outstanding anywhere. With this new CD, however, Gérald has created a work that almost defies description in some respects: it has a blend of all of his influences, from folk to blues to French Canadian to African to boogie to the North wind. Utilizing only music (augmented with bass, guitar, drums, percussion and viola) and sounds, he has created a series of "sound scapes" that can best be described as sonic paintings and re-creations of the stories and legends of the North and his heritage.
　　
　　The stories which he is re-creating with his vast array of harmonicas and assorted jaw harps, penny whistles, et al, are reproduced in the booklet, and if you listen to the music while reading the stories you will hear them come to life.
