This collection is a follow up to Volume Seven's Beat Chic which leaves the kinky booted girls in '66 to turn into up tempo brassy birds of '67-70. Lots of curios for collectors to get their teeth into including: TV and Radio personality Gloria Hunniford's first record, written and produced by Alan Hawkshaw; actress and comedienne Faith Brown with her first solo disc produced by Kenny Young successfully cloning his Clodagh sound; one of the first singles by later disco diva Tina Charles, produced by Valerie Avon, Bo Bo's Party which still goes down well in clubs today and a killer from The Chanters with their alter ego Birds Of A Feather and then there's the wonderfully named Stockingtops, AKA Sue and Sunny.
