SWIM was released on their own label, along with the 2 singles: LEFT and The Orchard. Constant touring delivered success with the album and singles reaching number 1 on the independent charts at the time.
　　SWIM was never released on CD, only vinyl and cassette and copies started to appear on ebay at highly inflated prices.
　　The Fish got back together again in 2007 for a series of gigs by bands of the late 80’s / early 90’s and played SWIM from start to finish. Around the same time the decision was made to organise a re-issue.
　　Fortunately the original multitrack tapes were available and once transferred the album was ready to re-mix. In June 2013 the band spent some time at Damien Gerard Studios with engineer Andrew Beck.
　　Andrew Beck has captured the freshness of the band at the time, the enthusiasm and ambition of a band at its peak after months of constant playing. It’s an album full of warmth and goodwill, fearlessness and naivety. Andrew’s engineering has also made the ‘acoustic’ nature of the album come to life, acoustic instruments always sound good. ‘Acoustic Pop Thrashabilly’ was always the guiding principle behind the album.
