一直注重质量的前卫摇滚乐团Porcupine Tree新专依旧有着很高的含金量，偏于迷幻的这张《The Incident》双CD专辑一共有十八首曲子，且长段不一，整个儿听下来酣畅淋漓，既有让人沉湎的氛围铺叠也有让人沸腾的重型段落。显然这张专辑会被拿来与今年年初乐队主唱Steven Wilson的个人专辑《Insurgentes》相提并论，当然这张团队合作的专辑更具整体性，《Insurgentes》则包罗了诸多Steven个人的创作动机和音乐理念，然而《The Incident》相对而言也显得繁琐和冗长了很多，十八首曲子半数雷同，听到中后部分就已经产生倦怠感。
