A brand new album from The Puppetmastaz was always going to be like getting a vodka enema in a hip-hop pet shop - and 'Creature Shock Radio' is no disappointment. Like some mutant cross-breed between Eminem, Stacs Of Stamina, caustic electro and Crazy Frog, Puppetmastaz are produced by The Prosetti Brothers and it shows - with a series of bubblegum beats and lurching sound effects that will have you laughing into a head nod. With Chilly Gonzales coming out of hip-hop retirement to make an appearance on 'Do The Swamp', it's a fair bet you'll know what to expect if you heard any of his Kitty Yo output - lots of well produced bounce providing the webbing for some clever-clogs rapping. Apparently labeled 'Beastcore', this is hip-hop that takes its cues from the mainstream then disrupts it joyfully into something that is by no means a joke, but will have you smiling nonetheless. Muppets!
