Dexter Wansel was Philadelphia International's director of A & R. As a writer /producer arranger, performing this multi-role for all of the label's top stars, including Teddy Pendergrass, The O'Jays, Billy Paul, Patti Labelle, Lou Rawls and the Jones Girls, writing the all-time classic 'Nights Over Egypt'. This CD contains third and fourth solo albums, from 1978 and 1979. `Voyager' is an album of funk and spacey jazz, whilst `Time Is Slipping Away' features vocal cameos from Terri Wells and The Jones Girls, and contains the hit single `The Sweetest Pain'.
