Necris Dust is a band from Barcelos, Portugal. The project started on January 2005 with Xavier as guitarist, Sobral playing drums and Barbara on the keys and violin, with the purpose of create music characterized by plenty of melody to oppose a heavy sound and a dark and melancholic ambience. Each one with their influences: Xavier with a heavier and characteristic sound; Sobral with his compact schemes; and Barbara with melodic chords. They gradually progressed in every way with the aim to create the kind of sound they were looking for. Already with some composed material, the necessity to complete the project urged. There was time to acquire more elements to the existent formation, that nor applied to the music or overwhelmed their own instruments, but also that they deliver them selves emotionally to the mental and musical concept of the project. In March 2005 and after several searches, Bete joined the project as their female vocalist, which delivered with body and soul to the project, giving to the same a touch of her classic/melodic vocals to the instrumental. A short time later, in May, Vitor, the current male vocalist joined the project which inspired them to a more dark and dramatic ambience. Later on August 2005, André joined the collective as their second guitarist and integrated very well on the project as the project on him. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, couldnt stay on the project, leaving the same 1 month later after his entrance. Then on January 2006 they assisted the entrance of the currently bass player, Chico, also member of COLDFEAR, which developed the technicism and brought a personal touch to all the compositions. So after the collective started to look complete, they entered on studio on May 2006 at the EchoSystem Studios at Barcelos, to record their first demo, titled Majesty with 3 of their compositions, which was recorded, produced and masterized by Bruno Zorro Gon?alves. After this Miguel, entered the project as their second guitarist, despite the earlier entrance of this member, they promise new ideas and influences, which for certain will help the project reach new stages and achieve their goal.
