This debut 12" from Dusk and Blackdown is a true secret weapon, its ambient qualities and gentle touches make it a record of great depth. This is a very shrewd release from Dusk & Blackdown, initially it sounds very laid back and seems like it has no power when compared to other dubstep labels such as tempa's and DMZ's booming basslines. Under the complex percussion and subtle panning synths, lies some very intelligent programming. I like to put it with more quality obscure dubstep bits in my collection such as the burial 12" on Hyperdub and Maurizio's M Series records, M6 being a very good match.
