比利時吉他手Philip Catherine被視為除了口琴/吉他手Toots Thielemans外的另一個國寶。他曾與Charles Mingus合作，亦是Chet Baker在歐洲巡迴演出的固定成員之一。他也是搖滾/爵士都擅長的吉他手，並與法國小提琴手Jean-Luc Ponty經常合作。他自己的專輯中，Live無疑是最棒的專輯之一，演奏不少standard。聽聽這張專輯吧！聽完這張想必不會有人要再質疑歐洲爵士樂手對傳統爵士樂的駕馭能力了，這張專輯可是全都是歐洲人哦。其他如Summer Night、Guitar Groove專輯，都是有歐洲作曲家作品、有搖滾風格、也有標準曲的佳作。同樣地，他的專輯亦多於Dreyfus發行。
比利時爵士小號名家、伯特?裘瑞斯(Bert JORIS)純熟出眾的吹奏技巧，歷經布魯塞爾爵士交響樂團的歷練(Brussels Jazz Orchestra)以及與比利時吉他大師菲利浦?凱特林(Phillip Catherine)十五年來的長期合作，是歐洲極為出色的一位中生代爵士小號手!
