2008 digitally remastered and expanded dual disc edition features deluxe packaging, bonus tracks and exclusive bonus footage. The dual disc comes housed in a deluxe digipak with extra artwork including the original 'gore' artwork inside the digipak. The DVD footage contains in depth interviews with the band members, exploring their humble beginnings and lifting the lid on the controversy that brought the band to a wider audience. Contains six unreleased bonus tracks from the Symphonies of Sickness demo sessions. Symphonies of Sickness proved a breakthrough for Carcass and cemented their reputation at the forefront of the emerging Grindcore/Extreme music scene. The album is widely regarded as the last word in Grindcore and led to a whole legion of artists imitating the primitive nature of the recording.
