The spotlight was on bloodpit in 2005 when their debut single, 'out to find you', reached the #1 spot in the finnish single charts. After its nordic release, the single found its way into the european single chart. The next single, 'platitude', sold as many copies in a week as its precursor had sold in a month. The band did not, however, appear from out of nowhere. Bloodpit's career began with performing at various bandstands and venues, they won band competitions, released self-financed eps and accumulated an army of fans. Since then, band's music has developed into a mixture of alt-rock, powerful vocals and metal riffs with punk attitude. 'mental circus', the band's debut album, is the culmination of music from bloodpit's entire career to date. The vividly rocking 'autumn' represents the older material whereas the newer songs include 'bad-ass blues' which combines heavy riffs with stadium melodies. Rajon. 2006
