专辑简介
Initially presented as an installation at the Netherlands Media Art Institute, which utilized a series of mini-fm radio transmitters located throughout the building, Radio Flirt is a sonic narrative leading a listener in and out of intimate messages, imaginary environments and envelopes of sound.
Reworking the installation materials, LaBelle / Webb elaborated the project for CD, imagining it as an insertion into a listener’s own environment. Fleshy, granular, subtle, ghostly, Radio Flirt is also a proposal for the radiophonic imagination – how radio might appear close to the ear, as traces of incomplete messages, hidden whispers or trembling static, an ambiguous and secret narrative. Radio Flirt is an intimate audio experience that aims for the heart and explores the emotional geographies of listening.
Originally conceived and presented as an installation at the Netherlands Media Art Institute, Amsterdam, June 2007 as part of "(in)visible sounds". Thanks to Annet Dekker and the
Institute.
