Well, the album release celebrations are over and they were definitely quite amazing. Thanks so much to all of my friends and supporters who helped put on the shows, played in the band, worked the door, sold merch, made cookies, and sat in the audience to show their love and support and interest in this new record of mine.
I'm in Toronto right now, halfway through a nice little tour, new disc in tow. Some highlights: the prepared feast by chef Michael Smith on a PEI patio after soundchecking for a performance on The Vinyl Cafe with Stuart MacLean; post thunderstorm swim in the Gatineau river before a delightful show at the Blacksheep; the beautiful people adorning the streets throughout Toronto pride; strong, dark coffee in Kensington market in the sun... It's good to be here.
I'll be back in the 'times for a good part of the summer, writing and rehearsing and making plans for more touring in the fall. Check out the new video for my song 'Art' written and made by one of Canada's great filmakers Andrea Dorfman.
