Anyone that digs into a smooth intellectual alternative vibe will feel this particular album .... he has a tendency to leave the ordinary, but not without taking you along so your not lost. Very personal lyrics. Gourmet style if you will.
Picture a chef that's extremely particular of serving the right element of what a song is trying to convey. He takes his time to bring quality to the table. That type of work ethic that has landed him work soundtracks before this album was even finished. Music to set the mood well enuff to have Academy Award winner Adrain Brody making love to his sound & voice(more then a few times) in the critically acclaimed film "Love the Hard Way".... but that's something you'll have to see for yourself.... but a lot of that music is here in this C.D.
As for this album . It's something that a lot of love has been put into. It's been co- produced by Didi Gutman (of the Brazilian Girls) 2 and a half years of work- a handful of some of the BEST musicians this city has to offer ... & messages in the songs that are personal , touching & thought provoking ... bringing up solid topic's about a "wide range" of things .Anything from A Brooklyn State of Mind to the single life or a typical man's "real fantasy" on a Saturday night at the club , & it definitely sets a mood of intimacy ..... but again, you'll have to check that out in good company .... or by yourself.
Although the RAHJ is very proud of this album it won't ever be released officially because this album does not represent his over all sound . It's only one element -- the softer side - the easier ride through the city. Graffiti Blue is the best description of this sound . The response is outstanding.... but still this is a limited time offer only.... and sure to be a collectors item when his official debut comes out - "BOXCUTTER" Only a few songs will make it from Graffiti Blue.
In the mean time RAHJ has quite a following and earned himself a solid reputation of an innovator on the live scene in New York.Call him the original re-mixer super imposing while incorporating anything from R&B-Hip Hop- Rock-House-Reggae. There's A LOT of anticipation to his debut but in the meantime he considers this Graffiti Blue album to be a damn good "polite" warning what's coming while he's in the studio with the new material....In the meantime this will definitely hold you till the next one drops.... just stay tuned.
